I'm sure arenanet has a reason for their choices. Although complications probably happen around the office', so they refrain from telling us things.

And keep in mind, not everyone will go through the necessary steps after they receive acceptance email. Only those who're committed will go through the effort to send a mail. It's an easy task, but those who don't care, chances are, won't bother at this point.

I'm a little distressed that I'm only aware of one other PvP'er who got in, but I'm tryin' my best to keep the faith!

I got in, and all I'm interested in is PvP. One of the other people in my PvP guild also got in. We were both in Alpha so that might have been a factor in their decision.

I had big hopes in this and thought I could countribute a lot and participate with dedication, but haven't got the mail. Shame. Big disappointment. I was really looking forward to this as testing stuff is just my thing and I'm doing that in GW since 2004 betas up till today.

This has got to be a joke.

Only -1- player from the remaining top PvP players was accepted? Is that a joke?

Did you ever realize that some people tend to afk a lot? And that some people that have been playing this game for 4 years still suck when it comes to thinking for them selfs? I won't deny that looking at how much time someone has played gives you a certain indication of the player, but the way you describe it...

You picked out people that write without capital letters and type words such as 'bcuz' and 'moar'. Awesome communication skills right there!

So they fit the requirements to join the Test Krewe, but they don't understand the e-mail they got? Oh my... the irony.

Very disappointed with the people that have been chosen. They left out so many experienced players that might have actually been able to do something meaningful. Your loss, Anet.

Did you think for a minute that they may be able to make the difference between afk and not?

Do you trust him when he says that? (do you even trust that he wrote his application like that, if he did???)

Legal jargon?

We see quite some examples in this thread why someone should not be invited. There is probably no place for people who see the Test Crewe as an end-game extension for people who in fact ceased playing ("Not invited? Goodbye GW!")
There are also many disappointed posts who blame Arenanet - well, you wrote your own application, you are to blame yourself! You must not lie in such an application, but you had every freedom to present yourself in an appealing manner. There was actually a very good question in the application form we had to answer.

You might also ask if a Tester is a good one, if he blames the company for all he deems wrong instead of making constructive comments. If this comment is not regarded, well, this is something you have to accept. This happens for the rest of your life, everywhere, with everything.

There are obviously single strong opinions about how the skill structure should look like. The current one is considered "bad" or "broken by design" by some people who probably crave for a radical overhaul. That is certainly no task for the Test Crewe, and many such people are probably a burden in the team. The game is finished, the task is to constantly fine-tune skills or other things to make every profession equally attractive for new and old players instead.

Example: I don't play PvP myself apart from a bit AB and JQ, but as far as I see in the forums, some professions are nearly missing from GvG and HA. If I were to fine-tune PvP, I would try to bring them back in. That would be good task. But not rumbling about how broken the skill system since Nightfall is (which is not).

And, well, you are seeing this thing a bit too seriously. This is a game. The NDA is serious, and the Test Crewe is supposed to give serious feedback, but Guildwars is still a video game, and we all play it for fun and leisure, don't we?

I think it's a bit of a misconception that this is some giant focus group for feedback and discussion. A lot of what the LTK does will probably be fairly menial (though enjoyable) QA tasks, such as scouring new content for bugs or reproducing glitches. There will be a forum, but it's false to assume that everyone was invited for their nuanced knowledge and debating skills.
